Optical illusion

This is checker shadow illusion which is published by Edward H. Adelson. The area of image A and B is same colour. However, when we see this image A is much daker than B because our brain thinks B is brighter cause of the shadow of pilliar.

When we connect those two area, we able to know illusion which is the colour of area A and B is same.

This illusion is really interesting for me. Generally when our brain realise the illusion, we can find the error on our sight but it's not. Still colour of area Aand B look different without the second and third image.
